Gordon Lloyd Jones

Gordon Lloyd Jones is a Kentucky native with a deep appreciation for his roots. Raised by a single mother in Maysville, he understands the meaning of hard work and perseverance firsthand. After graduating high school with honors, he continued his education at Maysville Community and Technical College, the University of Kentucky, and Morehead State College. This dedication to learning equipped him for a successful career, but his love for family led him to marry the lovely Cathy Clark and build a life together in Kentucky.

Gordon’s life took an unexpected turn when his passion for writing emerged. WWII: The Fighting Faris Family is his third book, a departure from his first two works, which explored his faith and experiences. This book reflects his desire to share the inspiring story of his family’s wartime experiences and honor the sacrifices made by those who served.

A lifelong learner and educator, Gordon currently inspires students at Maysville Community and Technical College. He is also a dedicated pastor, actively serving his community through The Shepherd’s House church. Driven by a love of reading that began at a young age and a desire to connect with others, Gordon continues to write, leaving a legacy of words that inspire and inform. His latest project is a book called Power In The Clouds, which explores the history of his former employer, Dayton Power, and Light, showcasing the company’s impact and the stories of the people who made it possible.
